Day 1 - Rocketship
I reduced the concept to simple forms that read quickly, using the gradients and star as visual cues for launch and forward motion.
The blue palette brings a clean, focused, and science-forward kind of feel that nods to space and futurism, and using the word Quasar ties the mark to ideas of high speed & energy.
Day 2 - Hot Air Balloon
I started here by focusing on simplifying images of hot air balloons into clear, geometric forms that read distinctly as balloons but still feeling light and simple.
The red color palette draws from the idea of a sunset on the horizon, bringing in the visual ambiance of the evening sky and giving it a warm & subtle intensity.
Day 3 - Panda
For this prompt, I began by again reducing the idea to its essentials and a super clear silhouette. I wanted to ensure the Panda was immediately recognizable.
The green here ties the logo to imagery of forests and ecology, referencing the pandaʼs natural environment while also nodding to their calmer nature.
Day 4 - The Letter X
I started here by leaning into how inherently limited the concept was, working with clean linework & interesting proportions as there was little room for extra symbolism.
I chose a yellow palette to reinforce the idea of something unique and energetic, giving the letter a vibrant, expressive, almost unusual feel.
Here I started with a single, familiar idea and iced coffee. I focused on keeping the form simple and stylized for legibility, and wanted to tap into the existing iconography associated with coffee shops to allude to the vibes without overexplaining it.
The tan/beige/brown palette was key to grounding the design in the word itself, drawing directly from the imagery of espresso and coffee cream. These warmer colors help bring a sense of comfort & richness to the design, helping it feel familiar and authentic.
